Beauty's In The air.....

The rain we been getting has everything greened up and started growing and my favorite, the hummingbirds are back !! This posting is a little scattered with my pictures ranging from barns on the road to birds at my house. I have been busy lately remodeling my dining room and have not had the time to sit and type. Now I'm getting ready to go on vacation back home to Tennessee !! Woo Hoo !! I'm excited and that will provide alot of blogging when I get back. For now take a look at some great shots I've been getting.
I took this from the window inside- all I could think was the one on the left was telling the one on the right to not chew with your mouth open !

I pass this barn everyday going to work. One morning the sun was hitting it just right so - at 6:30am I pulled over on the highway and started shooting.

On the way home from work I took a little bit of a different route to get this picture of the water tower in Salem,Iowa.I actually have a friend that has climbed this tower ( drunk of course) and has gotten in trouble with the law for doing it. What a nut job !

This butterfly was quite a bit if work to get.

I was mowing the yard when I saw it. I stopped the mower, ran in the house to get my camera and walked all over the yard before he stopped. Several cars passed while I was waiting and I'm sure they thought I was crazy. A woman standing in the yard, camera around neck in sweat pants, sandals and a ragged shirt. My yard clothes are getting a bit bad !Well anyway he landed and I started snapping.

As I was going back in the house this hummer was buzzing by the feeder so I got a cool shot of him too. I now have 6 hummingbirds- I hope the price of sugar don't go up like gas has or my hummers will be hungry.

Harley was laying in the yard taking this all in -

Now the yard is mowed and I have to get the camera back out and get one more shot before the night is over.

Now here are my Tennessee weeds - I got these from my cousin Tammy last year as she was glad to pull them from her yard. BUT I liked them and they make a great ground cover for the well in my yard. I hope she has more this year !

Here's Rick and Vernon headed out for a fishing trip but first they had to stop by and pick up the dead coon ! SHEW did that thing stink !

Well the sun is setting and it is once again time for the end of day. God Bless to all !

Of yeah I almost forgot to include Rick ( as I try to do at the end of all my posts) This one is when he was practicing for a golf outing with some friends.
